Our priorities: security & trust.
At ProVoteSolutions, we’re proud of the 21 patents we’ve been granted for innovations in printing security. But our commitment to earning your trust doesn’t stop there. Our best practices extend from proven, time-tested processes to the latest frontiers in cutting-edge security – all to provide our clients with uncompromised protection and unparalleled trust:
- Our digital printing equipment and inserters are equipped with camera systems that read and verify that the ballot data is correct and matches the envelope data.
- Having two independent production facilities in California assures you we have open capacity and emergency redundancy if needed.
- Our strict policy of never exceeding 80% of our production capacity for any election cycle ensures our ability to deliver our ballots on time.
- During testing, we require our systems to process 1 million test ballots and produce 0 errors.
- We maintain NASPO industry-leading standards of security in all materials, components, suppliers and products.
- Security protocols in place for all products and services throughout all production, supply chains, custody chains and distribution channels.
- All physical systems are protected by locks and tamper-evident seals to prevent potential tampering at any point in an election cycle.
- All digital data is encrypted with a key that is unique for every election to prevent tampering by unauthorized users.
- System software is installed only on hardened computers, each locked down to perform only election-related functions, with no internet connection and no access to unauthorized USB drives.
- All data in transit is safeguarded using FIPS-compliant cryptographic signature validation, so every time a file is accessed the signatures of all files throughout the election process are validated.
- All systems save a record of each user action in the system audit log.
- Independent, federally-accredited laboratories rigorously test all of our voting systems on a regular basis, assessing each system’s performance and keeping us accountable to federal election regulations.
- We develop a unique disaster recovery plan, customized for each client, each election.
- All systems are monitored 24/7 and undergo ongoing vulnerability assessments.
